The Expanding Agroforestry Field Day(s) are a weekend event geared toward farmland owners and managers looking to plant trees. The focus of the event is alley cropping, silvopasture, and windbreaks — all for production, conservation, and profit.
Friday evening, we’ll meet at The Finger Lakes Cider House for a brief tour, dinner, and live music. The farm-to-table food is excellent, but not included in the $0 price of the event.
On Saturday, we will start with an overview of agroforestry, followed by a tour of Ramble On (Farm). Lunch is included. followed by an overview of funding agroforestry, and a tour of Angus Glen Farms (45 minutes away).
On Sunday morning, we’ll meet up at The Finger Lakes Nut Farm for a chestnut harvest day.
